SINNES

BIO

Siobhan Ennis (b.1976), is a Northern Irish producer, songwriter and vocalist known professionally as SINNES. Early musical expression was harnessed through DJing DnB in the late '90's / early '00's and has shaped her sound with an industrial and liquid funk edge. She studied songwriting through ICMP and has been writing multi-genre material since 2020.

Expect a blend of alt rock, folktronica, big beat, synth pop and pop-rap vocals with stylistic influences from Four Tet, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Beastie Boys, Disclosure, Lana Del Rey and Miley Cyrus.

Central to SINNES identity are her micromanic musings on social order, analysis of situations, interactions, and alternative perspectives. Her lyrics mix introspection with the conversational, offering a familiar and relatable connection.

SINNES debut release 'Drag Them Down' is a four-on-the-floor rant on capitalist conformity and was selected for the 'Belfast Music Recommends' playlist.

She is currently back in the studio preparing for a flurry of releases this year including 'High-Wire', featuring singer-songwriter Oliver Morrow and a rework of 'What it is' by Mark Knopfler.
